Biography


1. Led the AMPATH Reference Laboratories to ISO 15189/2007 accreditation by KENAS in Feb 2012.

2. Member of the Immunology Society of Kenya and the Association of Kenya Medical Laboratory Scientific Officers.

3. Certified trainer on the strengthening laboratory improvement process towards accreditation (SLIPTA) program by ASLM

4. Certified trainer in Laboratory Biorisk Management by One Health Central and Eastern Africa (OHCEA).

5. Past chair of the education committee of the Kenya medical laboratory technicians and technologists board (KMLTTB).

6. Participated in the initial development of the Bsc Medical Laboratory Sciences curriculum by the KMLTTB.

7. Involved with review of the Bsc Med Lab Sci curriculum at the KMLTTB, Kisii University and Masinde Muliru University.

8. Involved in the development of the Masters and Ph.D programs in immunology programs at the school of medicine, College of Health Sciences, Moi University

9. Involved in the development of the Masters in Medical Microbiology and Medical Parasitology programs at the school of medicine, College of Health Sciences, Moi University

10. Participated in the development of the curriculum for the college of medical laboratory specialists of East Central and Southern Africa.

11. Peer reviewer for several journals including Asian Journal of Research in Nursing and Health; Journal of Advances in Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences; Asian Journal of Pediatric Research; International Journal of Tropical Diseases and Health and Journal of Pharmaceutical Research International.

12. Committee member of the education pillar in the lake region economic block (LREB) University Partnership program.
